Arlington Aims For Spring Start To Summer Street Playground Work
The project includes ADA upgrades to the playground, Buck Field and Hills Hill Field.
ARLINGTON, MA — The town plans to start work to improve the accessibility of the Summer Street Playground this spring. The project will also include ADA upgrades to Buck Field and Hills Hill Field.
The plan calls for building an accessible pathway connecting the parking lot to the field, playground and bike path.
Since the playground was first installed about 13 years ago, it has been the town's goal to provide access to the facility. The Institute of Human Centered Design completed an ADA self-evaluation in 2014 of all properties under the jurisdiction of the Park and Recreation Commission.
