Arlington Postpones Pedrini Community Conversation
The session, originally scheduled for Aug. 4, will address Lt. Richard Pedrini's controversial comments in a police trade publication.
ARLINGTON, MA — The town of Arlington and the Human Rights Commission have postponed the Aug. 4 Community Conversation with Lt. Richard Pedrini. In what they described as a "difficult" decision due to the availability of participants, organizers said the postponement will allow for the inclusion of more impacted stakeholders.
"We are committed to conducting this session in the very near future, and we want to be sure that we refine our planning to maximize the inclusion of diverse voices and perspectives within the community as part of this conversation," a statement on the town website reads.
The town has held six Community Conversations on race since late June. View past sessions at arlingtonma.gov/communityconversations.
