Arlington Real Estate: Median Sale, Listing Price

ARLINGTON, MA—Despite climbing property values across the Commonwealth, average sale prices have decreased in Arlington.

According to Trulia’s most recent data, the average median sales price sits at approximately $450,000 in Arlington. Earlier this year, Arlington’s median sales price reached $543,000 which was the highest mark since the year 2000. Prices as of Dec. 31 reflect a decrease of approximately 17 percent from those numbers.

Listing prices also continue to fall. Homes were listed at an average price of $578,954 during the week which ended Jan. 13. This reflects a $41,642 or 6.7 percent decrease from Dec. 23’s average and a 4.9 percent decrease from the prior week.

The housing market is seemingly growing larger, according to the data. As of Dec. 23, 25 homes were listed for sale in Woburn. That number increased to 37 homes between Dec. 23 and Jan. 13.

Zillow predicts that Arlington’s Zillow Home Value Index will increase from $599,000 in Jan. to $610,000 in Feb.
