Arlington Residents Warned Of Pavement Work Scam

Police say residents should be wary of unsolicited offers to do work on their driveways.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Police Department is warning of a new scam targeting area residents.

The scam involves people driving down the street offering to do work on residents' driveways, police said.

Last year, police in Waltham said solicitors were knocking on doors claiming they had extra, or leftover, pavement and could offer a "good deal" on driveway repaving.
