DA's 'Summer Safety' Awareness Event at Burlington Mall Thursday Afternoon

Event will include tips for pool, window and car safety, while kids can explore emergency vehicles, have car seats checked and more.

With summer right around the corner Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan is launching MDAO’s annual “Summer Safety” educational campaign for parents, caretakers, and children on how to be safe this season.

The campaign kicks off with an event Thursday afternoon at the Buriington Mall in the parking lot between Macy’s and Nordstrom, located at 75 Middlesex Turnpike. The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 18.

In attendance will be DA Ryan, Burlington Police Chief Michael R. Kent, Burlington Fire Chief Steven Yetman, Armstrong Ambulance CEO Richard Raymond and Simon Mall General Manager Michael Connell.

MDAO’s summer safety public awareness campaign aims to prevent accidental child deaths or serious injury by promoting water safety, preventing window falls and reminding parents to never leave a child alone in a car.
