Fundraiser Started After Weekend Fire In Arlington

Residents of Rhinecliff Street "lost everything" in a house fire, including their dog, according to a GoFundMe campaign.

ARLINGTON, MA — A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for residents of a Rhinecliff Street home where a fire broke out over the weekend.

The family was not home at the time of the fire, but they "lost everything," including their dog, according to the fundraiser.

Arlington Deputy Fire Chief Ryan Melly told Patch partner YourArlington damages are estimated at $300,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The GoFundMe page has raised more than $15,000 as of Wednesday afternoon, surpassing its $2,500 goal.
