Bountiful, a new weeknight meal-delivery business that allows people to connect with and support their local food economy from the comfort of their home, is expanding to Arlington.

Executive Chef Craig Ricker crafts a different menu item and side each weeknight, and Bountiful delivers it from the kitchen to local tables across the Boston area.

Julian Cohen, founder and CEO of the Somerville-based company, says the business model supplements weekly meal planning and provides an easy dinner option that is fresh, local and delicious. Each meal is a collaboration of at least three local businesses – local farmers, butchers, bakers and artisans – all of whom work together to make each meal.

As a result, Bountiful helps to provide additional sources of income to artisans and makers across the greater Boston area during restaurant shutdowns and hibernation.
