2 from Attleboro Charged with Medicaid Fraud
Rhode Island's attorney general says the women submitted fraudulent payment claims to the state's Medicaid system for personal care attendant services they did not perform.

A pair of Attleboro residents were charged with three counts of Medicaid fraud in Rhode Island, state Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin announced Thursday. Galinda Daniels and Bertha Daniels allegedly submitted fraudulent payment claims in late 2012 totaling $5,712 to the state's Medicaid system for personal care attendant services they did not perform.
The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of Kilmartin's office investigated the alleged fraudulent payment claims.
"Through the course of the investigation, the state determined the patient for whom they were billing the state for personal care attendant services was hospitalized," a press release from Kilmartin's office says.
