Five scholarships, in the amount of $2,000 each. will be awarded for 2020. One scholarship will be awarded in each division of the American Legion Auxiliary. All are gift scholarships; not loans.
RULES
1. Applicant must be a current member of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion, must have held membership for the two preceding years (2018 and 2019), and must be a paid member for the current (2020) membership year.

2. Applicants must be: a. a non-traditional student returning to the classroom after some period of time in which his/her formal education was interrupted; OR b. a non-traditional student who is beginning his/her education at a later point in life.
3. ALA Spirit of Youth Scholarship recipients are not eligible.

4. Applicants must present the completed application to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 312 president ON OR BEFORE MARCH 1, 2020
5. Judging, at all levels, shall be on the following basis: Character/Leadership 25% Initiative/Goals 25% Financial Need 25% Academic Achievement 25%
