Feehan Girls Lacrosse Wins Spirit Award

Bishop Feehan High School's girls lacrosse team was awarded the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Community Spirit Award for the its involvement in in the foundation since 2008 and for proactively taking great measures to improve head protection and safety regulations of the game.

The FOJ Foundation advocates for children with pediatric brain tumors by pairing them up with school teams who provide love, support and friendship. There are more than 300 college and high school adoptive teams across the country. Through this unique match, the quality of life for children and their families are improved, and the teams view life with more compassion, care and appreciation.

Coaches Nancy Semple and Pam Sheerin along with Shamrock co-captains Katie Barrera and Alaina Corsini recently accepted the award at the sixth annual FOJ Snow Ball Gala in New York.
