Irish Party to Support Emmett Larkin Memorial Fund

The second annual fundraiser for the Emmett Larkin Memorial Fund will take place March 1 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Attleboro Elks Lodge  (887 South Main St.).

The Emmett Larkin Memorial Fund provides resources and support to at-risk children and families in the greater Attleboro area. It has been able to assist many Attleboro area families who are struggling and in crisis.

Throughout the past year, the fund has donated to local food pantries as well as Christmas is for Kids campaigns, and made direct donations to families in need of assistance. The fund had provided children the opportunity to participate in recreational programs and events at no cost to them or their family. This year, the fund will offer a scholarship to a deserving Attleboro athlete.

As a youth coach, mentor and Attleboro recreation commissioner, Larkin's goal was to ensure that no kid was left behind and that all kids got a fair shake in life. He was a passionate advocate for the kids of our community, donating his time, energy and resources to improving their quality of life.

This fund will help continue that commitment, and Larkin's generosity and spirit of kindness will live on.
