The Wamsutta Celtics are champions of the Attleboro Youth Basketball Association for the third year in a row. Coach Tom Sheerin and Brenda Furtado have coached another season in the AYBA resulting in a victory. Â
Sheerin and Furtado have been coaching together since their boys Dante and Cameron became fifth-graders at Wamsutta Middle School three years ago. Their dedication and commitment to the youth at Wamsutta and throughout the league is unconditional. Â
Each year, the AYBA groups teams into fifth-/sixth-grade boys and girls teams and seventh-/eighth-grade boys and girls teams. For the past three years, Sheerin and Furtado have coached all ages at the boys level teaching commitment, teamwork and self-esteem. Â
