Attleboro Actor Generates Buzz with Upcoming Film Roles

Peter Morse will appear in Black Mass and Gilgamesh in 2015.

Peter Morse, an Attleboro native, is gaining steam as an actor.

He recently played an FBI agent in Black Mass, a Hollywood feature film starring Johnny Depp and Benedict Cumberbatch. Principal photography for the movie ended last month. Black Mass is slated for a September 2015 release.

Morse played the role of President of the United States for independent feature film Gilgamesh, which was developed through the Boston Film Family, L.L.C. Gilgamesh was written and directed by Richard Chandler, who also stars in the film.

Gilgamesh was shot in Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The film is expected to premiere by the beginning of 2015.

“It was a dream come true for me,” Morse said of working on the films. “A new phase in my career is now starting.”

He credits his work with local independent filmmakers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for giving him the experience he needed to earn his role in Gilgamesh.

Peter Morse has worked in over 40 films as a background extra, a supporting actor, and a leading man in both independent films and major motion pictures. He is a retired army veteran with 30 years of military service. He is married and has three children.
