Attleboro Bank of America Branches Closed

Bank of America branches in Attleboro and surrounding areas did not open Friday due to the ongoing manhunt for one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings.

"We're abiding by the 'shelter in place' order, which means we've instructed all Boston area employees to stay home," wrote BOA spokesman T.J. Crawford in an email to Attleboro Patch. "Therefore, all of our facilities in the area, including branches, are closed."

He continued, "Branch status for [Saturday] has not yet been determined, and will be based on direction from state officials and law enforcement."

There was no report of other bank closures Friday in Attleboro or nearby communities.
