Attleboro Courts Close Due To Coronavirus Exposure

Attleboro District Court and Bristol County Juvenile Court are closed for disinfecting after a court officer tested positive.

ATTLEBORO, MA — Attleboro District Court and Bristol County Juvenile Court in Attleboro announced Monday that they have closed temporarily due to COVID-19 exposure.

According to the district's website, a court officer who was last at the courthouse on Feb. 5 has tested positive for COVID-19.

The courthouse will be cleaned during the closure and reopen on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

The temporary closure of Attleboro District Court and Bristol County Juvenile Court comes after the state announced a 90-day plan for operations on Jan. 8.

The plan, which will last through April 5, includes staffing court offices at 50% capacity, adopting a phased approach to resuming jury trials, developing jury trial priority plans, and expanding remote operations.
