Attleboro High Softball Falls to King Philip
King Philip pitcher Anna O'Neill limits Attleboro to one hit in the 5-0 game.
King Philip's varsity softball team was strong on offense and pitcher Anna O'Neill was nearly perfect Monday night as the Warriors defeated Attleboro High 5-0.
The Warriors struck early in the first inning with a triple by Ashley Hussion that brought in a run. The score was 3-0 by the end of the inning. KP scored another run in the fourth and its final run in the sixth.
KP pitcher Ana O'Neill struck out ten batters and limited Attleboro to just one hit—a fourth-inning double by Mikayla Harnois. Bombardier pitcher Jessica Alvarez had two strikeouts.

Attleboro head coach Debra Carreiro said although it was a tough game, she believed her team did well.
"I think we played a good game against them except for a few blips and blunders on the field," she said. "We are a young team and we have to work on basic things that should be automatic."

The Bombardiers play again Wednesday at home against Taunton.
