Attleboro Fire That Heavily Damaged Home Ruled Accidental
Fire officials said the flames started after a resident got distracted while cooking.
ATTLEBORO, MA — A fire that caused heavy damage to a home at 31 Thatcher St. Tuesday evening has been ruled accidental, reported NBC 10 WJAR.
According to the Attleboro Fire Department, one of the two residents of the home got distracted while cooking, resulting in the flames quickly spreading throughout the building.
Fire officials also said the fire hydrant closest to the home was not working and therefore it took firefighters longer to extinguish the blaze.

The residents were able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.
