Attleboro Ice Rink To Be Renamed After Injured Hockey Player
The New England Sports Village in Attleboro announced it will rename its premiere rink the "AJ Quetta Rink."
ATTLEBORO, MA — A Bishop Feehan High School hockey player who suffered a severe spinal cord injury that left him partially paralyzed five months ago was welcomed with a surprise during a hockey tournament that was held in his honor over the weekend.
The first annual Quetta Cup Tournament was hosted Saturday as a fundraiser for AJ Quetta and his family at the New England Sports Village in Attleboro.
During the tournament, it was announced that the ice rink will change its name to the "AJ Quetta Rink."

Quetta was injured during a January 26 game against Pope Francis High School in West Springfield after going head-first into the boards and left unable to move. A post from his instagram page, AJ's Army, says he was left with a serious spinal cord injury that rendered him partially paralyzed.
A GoFundMe page has raised over $1 million for his treatment and rehabilitation, and the North Providence teen was recently named to the Central Catholic League's All-Star Team.
