Attleboro Police Release New Footage From Gas Station Carjacking

The footage shows the suspect driving off with the vehicle while an elderly woman was still in the back seat.

ATTLEBORO, MA — Police have released new footage from a carjacking at a Shell gas station on South Avenue in Attleboro that took place April 17, reported WPRI.

The footage shows the carjacking that took place while an elderly woman was still in the back seat.

Investigators say two family members left the vehicle running and went into the gas station's convenience store. While they were inside, a man entered the vehicle and drove off onto Lathrup Drive.

Officers found the woman sitting on the side of the road near West Street and Glendale Road. She told officers the suspect pulled her out of the car and threw her to the ground.

The woman was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The vehicle was found still running on Sunday morning in North Providence, according to investigators.
