Attleboro Police Sergeant's Hearing on Child Porn Charges Continued Until April 28
Veteran Attleboro cop's bail hearing postponed until April 28 in R.I. federal court.

ATTLEBORO, MA — A 32-year-veteran Attleboro police sergeant had his bail hearing on child pornography charges in R.I. federal court postponed until April 28 to give him more time to hire a private defense attorney.
Richard F. Woodhead, 54, of South Attleboro, MA, was scheduled for a hearing this after he was held without bail without bail after his initial appearance on April 6 in U.S. District Court in Providence, R.I. He is charged with attempting to entice a child and child pornography.

The complaint charges him with attempted enticement of a minor, attempt to receive child pornography and possession of child pornography. The court file, which includes the complaint, has been sealed.
In the wake of Woodhead's arrest, he has been placed on paid administrative leave, The Sun Chronicle reports. Assistant R.I. U.S. Attorney Sandra Hebert seized suspected child pornography found in a secret compartment in a bedroom closet of Woodhead's home.
