Attleboro Resident Spots Black Bear In Backyard
The black bear was seen in the area of Deanville Road.
ATTLEBORO, MA — An Attleboro resident spotted a black bear in her backyard over the weekend, reported The Sun Chronicle.
Julie Araujo, who lives on Deanville Road, was about to let her dogs out when she saw the animal.
According to Araujo, the bear knocked down a panel of the wooden fence surrounding her backyard around 9:30 p.m. Sunday and began eating from the bird feeders. She has since fixed the fence and taken down the bird feeders.

“He pushed the fence to get in,” Araujo told The Sun Chronicle. “I was getting ready to let the dogs out when I noticed the panel missing and then saw this black object.”
The bear took off when she opened her side door, said Araujo. She called police who tried to scare it into the woods by blasting their sirens.
