Construction To Begin At Attleboro High School
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new four-story school will take place this week.
ATTLEBORO, MA — A groundbreaking ceremony this Thursday will mark the beginning of construction of the new Attleboro High School. The four-story, 475,000-square-foot building will accommodate approximately 1,725 students, according to the construction manager for the project.
The new Attleboro High School will be among 14 high schools in Massachusetts that offer college prep curriculum in grades nine through 12, and is also accredited as a Chapter 74 vocational/technical high school.
Consigli Construction is managing the construction of the new high school, which will be built just 30 feet from the existing high school. The existing building is more than 50 years old. The opening day for the new school is expected by September 2022.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Attleboro High School is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, at 100 Rathbun Willard Dr. Among those in attendance will be Mayor Paul Heroux, Attleboro High School Principal Bill Runey, School Building Committee members, Consigli Construction and Attleboro High School Class of 2020 President Benjamin Wood.
