Feehan Basketball Coach Awarded Coach of the Year
The coach was recently honored by a state basketball association as the 2014 Massachusetts Boys Div. II South Basketball Coach of the Year.

The Bishop Feehan High School boys’ varsity basketball coach was honored as the 2014 Massachusetts Boys Div. II South Basketball Coach of the Year on Sunday.
Coach Matt Freeman was given the award Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association at its annual Hall of Fame banquet held at Holy Cross College in Worcester.
Freeman led the Bishop Feehan High School boys basketball team to a season record of 19 to 1 in the regular 2013 to 2014 season.

Shamrock boys basketball won an Eastern Athletic Conference championship and also went on to advance to the South Sectional tournament semi-finals that season.
Freeman has been the Bishop Feehan boys’ varsity basketball for 13 year and was a 1991 graduate of Bishop Feehan.

He also received the inaugural Paul F. Scully Sportsmanship Award by the Massachusetts Board of Basketball Officials. The award honors coaches and their teams who show good sportsmanship.
Freeman lives in North Attleboro with his wife Lori and his daughters Jenna, 10, and Anna, 6. He is the head of the Social Studies department at Braintree High School.
