Fire Heavily Damages Home In Attleboro

ATTLEBORO, MA — A fire caused heavy damage to a home at 31 Thatcher St. Tuesday evening, said Fire Chief Scott Lachance in a news release.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at approximately 6:50 p.m. and found heavy smoke and flames coming up from the home.

"Crews began an aggressive attack on the home and worked to extinguish the blaze," said Lachance.

The two residents of the home were able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
