Former Attleboro Resident Indicted On Murder Charge
Kayla Cantu is accused of fatally stabbing Kimberly Duphily last fall.
ATTLEBORO, MA — A former Attleboro resident has been indicted by a Bristol County grand jury on charges that she fatally stabbed another resident during a fight at 6 Leroy Street in September, reported The Sun Chronicle.
According to court documents, Kayla Cantu, 20, now of Weymouth, is facing charges including murder and carrying a dangerous weapon.
Prosecutors say Cantu fatally stabbed Kimberly Duphily, 28, on September 11. Cantu was initially accused of slashing the face of Duphily's 28-year-old husband, Jacob, when he allegedly tried to intervene in the fight.

Cantu, who pleaded innocent when she was arraigned on a murder warrant in November, is currently being held without bail. Her next court date has not been released.
