Identity Released of Man Killed by Train

The Attleboro resident appears to have committed suicide, a district attorney spokesman says.

The man killed Thursday morning when he was struck by a train in Attleboro while walking on the tracks has been identified as Mark Crowe, 46, of Attleboro. Bristol County District Attorney's Office spokesman Gregg M. Miliote confirmed the identity Friday morning.

The incident is under investigation. Miliote told Attleboro Patch it appears to have been a suicide.

This was the second train-related death of the year in Attleboro. A 26-year-old Watertown woman was killed Jan. 2 after being struck by an Amtrak Acela Express train near the South Attleboro station on Newport Avenue.
