Isaias Knocks Out Power To Nearly 10K In Attleboro
Nearly 50 percent of the city was without power late Tuesday afternoon as the tropical storm raced through New England.

ATTLEBORO, MA —Nearly 10,000 Attleboro residents were without power late Tuesday afternoon as Tropical Storm Isaias raced through New England with a swath of rain, heavy wind and tornado warnings.
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reported 9,778 National Grid customers were without power — 49 percent of all homes in the city — at the height of the storm about 6:30 p.m.
Isaias knocked out power for nearly 50,000 homes and businesses across Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reported 64,143 were without power as of 4:47 p.m. Tuesday. Many of the outages were in central and western Massachusetts, but some of the hardest-hit communities are in the southeastern part of the state.

The entire state outside of the Berkshires is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. There have been no reports of tornadoes.
