Obituary: Joyce Ann Nordberg

She enjoyed traveling, taking scenic trips and spending time with her family.

Joyce Ann Nordberg of Stockade Circle in Attleboro died April 15 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was 68. 

Born in Providence on Aug. 7, 1944, she was a daughter of Rosento and Maria Ventriglia. She was raised and educated in Providence and was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1961.

Nordberg was employed for more than eight years as an office clerk at the Attleboro Business Center in downtown Attleboro until becoming ill. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Years ago, Nordberg was active in Attleboro Youth Hockey. More recently she enjoyed traveling, taking scenic trips and spending time with her family.

Nordberg is survived by her husband of 46 years Thomas B. Nordberg; sons Carl T. Nordberg and his wife Debbie and Brian S. Nordberg and his wife Kelly; daughter Marie E. Nordberg; brother Joseph Ventriglia; sisters Louise Deveney, Elaine Scott and Linda Ramieri; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral took place April 20 at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Homefollowed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John's.
