Obituary: Virginia Plante
She was gracious and loving, and always there with a big smile and a kiss for everyone.

Virginia Rose (Monse) Plante of Streeter Lane in Attleboro died April 19 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was 87.
She was born in Providence to John and Lucy Monse, and was a resident of Attleboro for the rest of her life.Â
Plante was an assembler for the circuit boards at Texas Instruments for more than 30 years. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Plante enjoyed spending time with her family and watching sports, especially youth sports with the kids. She did beautiful needlework and passed the time doing crossword puzzles. Plante was gracious and loving and was always there with a big smile and a kiss for everyone.
She is survived by sons Alan and his wife Glenne and Raymond and his wife Julia Plante Jr.; former son-in-law William Campbell and his wife Gail; daughter Eloise Campbell; brother John Monse; grandchildren William Campbell, Peter Campbell, Edward Plante, Amy Smedberg, Jason Viveiros, Barbara Travers; Ryan Plante; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Plante was preceded in death her husband Raymond J. Plante Sr., children Robert J. Plante and Linda E. Plante and brothers Robert Monse and Russell Monse.
Calling hours will take place for relatives and friends Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, located at 126 South Main St. in Attleboro. The funeral service will be private.Â
