School Lunch Scandal Is Top April Story
Five of the 10 most-viewed articles of the month involve the scandal in which Coelho Middle School students were denied lunch. The situation made national headlines and led to the firing of employees and demotion of a school administrator.

The biggest story to come out of Attleboro and enter national headlines in April was the Coelho Middle School lunch scandal. As one would probably expect, it was even bigger news locally.
The situation in which students with insufficient accounts were denied lunch or forced to throw it out dominated Attleboro Patch's most-viewed articles list. Five articles on the list were about the scandal that led to four employees of the school district's food contractor being fired and the demotion of a Coelho assistant principal.
