Attleboro Superintendent Finalists Interviews Set for Next Week

The school committee will interview the candidates Wednesday and Thursday in front of the public.

Attleboro school district stakeholders and others interested in what happens with the local education system will have their first opportunity to hear from the two finalists for the superintendent job this coming Wednesday and Thursday. School Committee members will interview Anthony Azar and Kenneth Sheehan. Anybody can attend the interviews and they will be televised on DoubleACS.

The schedule provided to Attleboro Patch by school committee chair Mike Tyler calls for Azar to be interviewed Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Sheehan to be questioned Thursday at 7 p.m. The interviews will take place in Attleboro High School's Room 178E.

The finalists will also visit the school district from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 11 (Sheehan) and March 12 (Azar). Attleboro officials will visit the finalists' districts later that week. Sheehan is the superintendent in West Warwick and Azar is an administrator in New Bedford.

The school committee is expected to select a superintendent later this month. If the person accepts the job, he would begin work July 1.
