Toy Car at Sturdy Leads to Bomb Scare
Streets around the hospital are closed while police and firefighters investigate the scene.

A reported "suspicious" package found Wednesday morning in the parking lot at the main entrance of Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro turned out to be a toy car, Attleboro Police Chief Kyle Heagney said.Â
Hospital security contacted police about the item at about 9:15 a.m. Firefighters and the state police bomb squad were sent to the scene. Streets around the hospital were closed.
"A secure perimeter was established around the device of approximately 400 to 500 feet out of precaution," wrote Heagney in an email to Attleboro Patch. "It was subsequently determined that the device was a toy which had an instrument attached to it. The toy was left at that location by accident. There was no malicious intent involved in this incident."
