A Wendy's spokesperson said cards used at the fast-food chain may have fraudulent charges. East coast stores are reportedly involved.

ATTLEBORO, MA — Wendy’s said it’s investigating a data breach that may have resulted in fraudulent charges on customers’ credit cards.

The news was first reported by Krebs on Security.
A Wendy’s spokesperson said an investigation is underway.

The fraudulent charges started in late 2015; Wendy’s said it learned of the breach this month.
Krebs said there are reports of compromised cards in the midwest and east coast. Wendy’s has not said which stores were affected.
