Wendy's Data Breach: Chain Has Attleboro Store

ATTLEBORO, MA — Wendy’s said it’s investigating a data breach that may have resulted in fraudulent charges on customers’ credit cards.

The news was first reported by Krebs on Security.

A Wendy’s spokesperson said an investigation is underway.

The fraudulent charges started in late 2015; Wendy’s said it learned of the breach this month.

Krebs said there are reports of compromised cards in the midwest and east coast. Wendy’s has not said which stores were affected.

Attleboro has one Wendy’s location. Wendy’s has about 6,500 locations worldwide.
