Youth Commission Fundraiser to Support HEAT
Here's a look at what's happening in Attleboro.

1. The Attleboro Youth Commission's annual fundraiser will take place Thursday at the Elks Lodge (887 South Main St.) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Commission Chair Harry Walsh writes:
It will feature a silent auction of gift baskets with gift cards and items from local businesses and a live auction of more expensive items, such as tickets to the Boston Bruins, performed by dueling auctioneers City Councilor Richard Conti and AYC member Avi Nerenberg. There will be food and drinks available at no cost. All proceeds from the auctions and all other donations will go to the HEAT Fund and the Attleboro Energy Fund to help local families who cannot afford heat for the winter.
2. The Caribbean Kitchen in downtown Attleboro has been open for a few months, and its official grand opening will take place today at 11 a.m. Lots of business and political leaders are expected to be at the restaurant, located at 15 Park St. Go here to see the restaurant's website.
