Back Bay Ranks Among Most Competitive Zip Codes for Home Buyers

Back Bay, along with other Hub neighborhoods Allston-Brighton, Beacon Hill, Jamaica Plain and The South End landed on a national list of the 30 most competitive zip codes in the country for home buyers.

JP, coming in at number four, received the highest ranking of any local neighborhood in the Redfin survey.

Here’s the top ten:

1. Sunset District, San Francisco
2. Castro, San Francisco
3. Bernal Heights, San Francisco
4. Jamaica Plain, Boston
5. Silver Lake, Los Angeles
6. Almaden Valley, San Jose
7. Ardenwood, Fremont, CA
8. Cambrian Park, San Jose
9. Ravenna, Seattle
10. Allston/Brighton, Boston

South End came in at 13, while Back Bay and Beacon Hill were listed at number 18 as one neighborhood, Boston.com noted.
