Back Bay South End Gateway Project Approved
Boston Properties on Thursday received unanimous approval for the Back Bay South End Gateway project.

BACK BAY, MA - Boston Properties on Thursday received unanimous approval from the Boston Planning and Development Agency board Thursday evening for a multi-million dollar development at the MBTA's Back Bay Station, according to the Boston Business Journal.
The approval of the 1.37 million-square-foot mixed-use plan will feature a 26-story office tower spanning roughly 600,000 square feet; a 28-story and a 35-story residential tower with about 600 units; some 60,000 square feet of retail; a one-level vertical expansion of Back Bay Station; and an overhaul of the station itself. Some 90 affordable units will be developed offsite.
Earlier this month, Boston Properties reached a deal with opponents concerned about the shadows just before a Nov. 16 vote.

One of its three new towers is expected to reach 364 feet.
According to Curbed, The developer will pay $3 million to opponents such as the Old South Church to mitigate the impact and a further $3 million to an affordable housing fund that Boston runs.
