Boston Police Corner, Arrest 'Would Be' Spider Man On Roof

Someone called police to report he broke a window on top of a building on Boylston Street in Back Bay.

BOSTON, MA — Monday evening someone spotted a man atop a building on Boylston Street in the Back Bay breaking a window and attempting to get inside. They called the police who arrived about and spotted the man, who appeared to be trying to escape by jumping from roof to roof.

Police climbed a fire escape and cornered the man they dubed the 'would be Spidey' when he surrendered, according to a report.

Boston fire department officials showed up and with their help officers were able to bring the man to the ground.

Just after 4 p.m. police arrested Steven Dale Thomas, 30 of Saugus for breaking and entering and found he was also wanted for violating parole, according to police.
