The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Boston students placed among the worst of all schools in Massachusetts. The city ranks 270th among 291 school districts with 66 percent of 10th-grade students scoring proficient or advanced on the annual standardized test.
Boston ranked 277th in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test; 82 percent of students earned either proficient or advanced.

The city ranked 271st in the state for the Math portion of the test; 67 percent of students earned either proficient or advanced.
And finally, Boston ranked 274th in the state for the Science portion of the test; 50 percent of students earned either proficient or advanced.

Between the three sections, 68 percent of students earned a needs improvement grade; 33 percent scored within the warning/failing area.
