Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council Hosts Annual Breakfast
Honoring Robert Earl and Chef Daniel Bruce at Hospitality Good Scout Breakfast in Seaport.
(Boston, Mass.) - Boston business leaders turned out in force as the Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council honored two hospitality heavyweights – Robert Earl and Chef Daniel Bruce – at the 2019 Hospitality Good Scout Breakfast. This event, held each year at the Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center, brings industry leaders together to support the Boy Scouts inner city youth development programs. Robert Earl, Chairman of Planet Hollywood International and owner of Bertucci’s, and Chef Daniel Bruce, Chef at Meritage at the Boston Harbor Hotel and founder of the Boston Wine Festival, were each presented with the “Good Scout” award for their contributions to the community and Boston’s thriving hospitality industry. The event raised more than $75,000, which will help fund Boston Scouting programs that bond families through shared experiences and inspire young boys and girls to seek careers in hospitality and other relevant industries. WCVB-TV Channel 5 News Anchor Duke Castiglione served as Master of Ceremonies and Pyramid Hotel Group Chief Operating Officer Jim Dina led a live auction during the event. Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Chief Executive Chuck Eaton thanked the honorees for supporting Scouting, noting that their giving back will benefit thousands of children and families in Boston’s neighborhoods.
