Fisher College Expands in the Back Bay

Neighborhood concerns are mounting over Fisher College's possible expansion plans in the Back Bay after the liberal arts college bought an Arlington Street building and sketches out plans to grow over the next decade. 

"Things have shifted from how do we work this out, to how do we stop them,"Peter Sherin, a director at the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay, told the Boston Herald. "And the next thing is how do we get them out."

Some neighborhoods are challenging Fisher's plans to use Beacon Street building for classrooms or dorms, and a Boston Redevelopment Authority task force is planning to meet March 28 to discuss the issue, the Herald reports.
