Josh Dawson Third Democratic Candidate in Race for Marty Walz' Former Seat

1. 8th Suffolk candidate: Joshua Dawson, the outgoing executive director of State Treasurer Steve Grossman’s political committee, is running for the 8th Suffolk House District seat left open by Marty Walz. Dawson, of the Back Bay, joins fellow Democrats Jay Livingstone and Nils Tracy in the race. 

As state representative, Dawson says he will "work to make Greater Boston the best place in which to work, live, raise a family, educate our children, and grow a business. Dawson’s campaign will outline the need for better education opportunities, transportation infrastructure, and growing the region’s innovation economy."

2. Lunar New Year show: The Berklee Chinese Student Association is hosting a night of music to celebrate the 2013 Lunar New Year this Thursday at 8:15 p.m. The concert will feature a variety of music ranging from traditional Chinese folk to contemporary pop and jazz. 3. Rock Lobster: Aaron Fricke, whose autobiography "Reflections of a Rock Lobster" chronicles his journey from bullied high school student to acclaimed author and activist will speak at a post-show reception on Friday, March 15 at 10:30 p.m. at the Boston Center for the Arts' Calderwood Pavilion. Tickets for the Boston Children's Theatre production of “Reflections of a Rock Lobster,” scheduled for 8 p.m., and for Fricke’s talk are available online.

4. Protect Yourself: In honor of National Consumer Protection Week, the Better Business Bureau compiled various tips to help protect you while you're online or on your smart phone, like locking your phone, avoiding unsecure Wi-Fi, and other tips. See here for more information.
