New Smoothie Place Opening Soon To Energize Back Bay

Energize, a vegetarian juice, smoothie and salad spot, first opened in Brighton in 2017. Their second spot is poised to open in Back Bay.

BACK BAY, MA — If you've been looking for more healthy options in the Back Bay, well, you're getting your wish. A smoothie, salad juice bar is set to open soon. Energize is opening a second location in the Back Bay across from the Christian Science Center Plaza on Mass Ave.

The store is ready, according to the team. They're just waiting for Boston to issue one more permit and then they're ready to go, they told Patch. Opening day could be as soon as next week, after some earlier hiccups (they'd hoped for a March 2018 opening).

The healthy bowl, salad and smoothie shop opened in 2017 in Oak Square, in Brighton and then announced on Facebook it was expanding earlier this year.

“We are excited to announce that our family just got bigger. Energize # 2 is soon to come,” a Facebook post read.

If you know and love the Energize in Oak Square, expect pretty much the same thing in the Back Bay.

"In terms of menu options and concept it is exactly the same. It is Energize. The configuration of the space is a bit different. Longer and more narrow but still about the same Square footage with about 20-22 seats," said one of the core team members in a message to Patch.

The Energize mission, according to the post is to "energize society with clean organic delicious food options."

On the menu at Energize, look for blended drinks like "Healthy Heaven" with hemp milk, banana, apple, dates, ginger, maca, almond butter. They also sell smoothie bowls like the the classic "Acai" with a blend of acai, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, banana, avocado and agave, garnished with strawberries, banana, granola and bee pollen (see below).

They've also got juices and salads and bowls.

Energize was founded by a group of friends; Tihomir Deliivanov, Radomir Stoyanov and Ivaylo Dimitrov and his brother Tsvetelin. Together they developed recipes focusing on all things plant-based.
