No Threats, But Police Monitoring Boston Schools

In the wake of credible threats against the Los Angeles school district, police and school officials are taking precautions.

Boston Public sSchools have received no credible threats, but are monitoring school safety in the wake of threats to schools in Los Angeles.

All Los Angeles Unified School District schools were closed Tuesday for what officials called a credible threat of violence. The threat was made to “many schools in the district,” prompting the closure.

Bosotn school officials said in a statement they are working with the Boston Police Department to monitor all schools and be prepared in the event of any threat against the schools.

School and police officials are “working in close coordination in order for us to monitor the situation,” school officials said in a statement. “At this time there have been no credible threats made against the Boston Public Schools.”
