Police Issue Alert For Back Bay Indecent Assaults

Boston Police have issued an alert for four separate indecent assaults around Back Bay Tuesday night and Wednesday morning all involving a male suspect on female victims.

The suspect has been described by police generally as "a white male, 20-30 years of age, 5'7"-5'10", 175 (pounds) and wearing a tan construction type jacket."

Police said the first reported incident allegedly took place at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday on Dartmouth Street. A female victim said the suspect came up behind her, indecently assaulted her and fled on foot. Prior to the assault, the victim said she could hear the male speaking but pretended not to listen.

The next reported incident happened earlier, at about 10:13 p.m. Tuesday, when a victim was walking on Dartmouth Street approaching to Beacon Street. As she was crossing the street, police said the suspect, who was standing on the corner, asked her what time it was and after she said the time, he indecently assaulted her and fled on foot.

At 12:42 a.m. Wednesday, a victim walking near 159 Newbury St. said the suspect came up behind her, indecently assaulted her and then fled on foot.

The final incident took place at about 6:55 a.m. Wednesday when a victim was walking her dog near 294 Commonwealth Ave. when the suspect, who was sitting on a bench, started yelling at her. When the victim said back that she didn't have any money, the suspect started indecently assaulting her. 

When the victim started to scream, she told police the suspect punched her in the head. He then allegedly fled towards Massachusetts Avenue. Police said the victim refused medical attention.
