Police Seek Help Finding Back Bay Carjacker
Officers hope newly released photos will lead to an arrest in the violent, daylight assault in August.
Boston Police continue to search for an armed man who carjacked a woman in broad daylight in the Back Bay in August, and they’re hoping newly released photos will give them a break in the case.
The incident took place Aug. 21 just before 10 a.m. at St. Botolph and Cumberland streets, officials confirm.
Police say a male suspect, armed with a weapon, forced his way into a car. He tried to push the victim into the car but she fought with him and the suspect pulled her out of the car, according to police reports. She was able to break free and run away unharmed. The suspect then drove off with the car, which was later found on Peterborough Street, a couple miles away. It had been set on fire.
