2 Rescued From Submerged Car Near Beacon Street
Rescuers pulled two people from the car and one person was taken to the hospital, police said.

BOSTON, MA — Two people were rescued and one was sent to the hospital, after the car they were in made its way into the waterway near the corner of Beacon Street and Charlesgate West Tuesday evening, according to State Police.
Just after 6 p.m. Boston Firefighters and State Police were called to the area for a report of a possible downing to perform a technical rescue to get the people out of the car. Four troopers responded, according to State Police.
The 73-year-old driver was taken to Beth Israel with non-life threatening injuries, State Police told Patch.

Photos of the aftermath show a car partially submerged in the water with several doors open.
