Walz Starts New Planned Parenthood Job

1. Walz at Planned Parenthood: Marty Walz, formerly the state representative of the 8^th Suffolk District, officially assumed her new role as President and CEO of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts this Monday. Walz's seat will remain vacant until a special election is held to fill it. So far, two Beacon Hill residents, Nils Tracy and Jay Livingstone, have announced their intentions to run for the seat. 

2. Mustachio Bashio: For several weeks area men have been growing facial hair as part of City Table's Sponsor My 'Stache fundraiser to benefit its meal program for the critically ill. 3. Spring forward: Daylight Saving Time is this weekend. The official time to set the clocks one hour ahead is Sunday at 2 a.m.

4. Police Spring Break Message: Boston Police are urging area college students to secure their off-campus housing units if they're planning on being away during their school's spring break period.

5. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting precipitation for the rest of this week. The area could be hit by another winter storm.
