WATCH: LeBron James Gives Sneaks to Newton Boy at Celtics Game

A young Special Olympian was honored during a Celtics game on Tuesday night as a "Hero Among Us."

Everyone was a fan, even in Boston, when the Cavaliers’ LeBron James honored a local boy along with the Celtics during the game on Tuesday night.

The Celts bestowed a “Hero Among Us” acknowledgement to Aaron Miller, the Newton North High School boy who was named MVP at the Special Olympics, reported CBS Local.

The Celtics honored Miller, who endured surgery and physical therapy while battling a paralyzing condition. He overcame it and plays basketball and golf for Newton North High School.

LeBron headed over to Miller during a time out and talked to him, later giving him sneakers that he wore in the game. CBS Local shares the video of the moment here.

“I saw what he had been through, and I see where he is now,” James told the media after the game,” LeBron told Fox Sports. “It wasn’t for you guys. It’s not for the fans. It was for him.”
