Weekend Agenda For Back Bay Aug. 9-11

Welcome to your Weekend Agenda for Back Bay where we highlight several events happening in the neighborhood and nearby this coming weekend.

Here's what we've got for you for the weekend of Aug. 9 to 11:

BACK BAY WINE TOUR

City Wine Tours will be holding wine tours of Back Bay on both Saturday and Sunday starting at 3 p.m. The tours cost $56 and start each day at Legal Seafood, 26 Park Plaza.

POP UP CHARITY DINNER AT FLOUR

Cook and author Joan Chang will be hosting a pop up charity dinner at Flour, 131 Clarendon St. in Back Bay Sunday to benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign starting at 6:30 p.m.

TAX-FREE WEEKEND IN MASSACHUSETTS

A reminder this weekend is going to be sales tax-free for businesses in Back Bay and throughout the Commonwealth. Some items are not within the bounds of the tax exemption though, including any single item sold for more than $2,500. Also products such as tobacco, gasoline, meals and utilities will not be sold tax-free.

RED LINE DIVERSION

Also if you are planning on using the Red Line as part of your travel to or from Back Bay this weekend, shuttle buses will be replacing trains from Kendall/MIT to Park Street Saturday and Sunday.
