Baby Delivered at Police Station on Cape Cod

Dennis police Officers Liz Tucker and Krista Wunderlich helped make a special delivery at the police station Sunday morning.

DENNIS, MA — There was a special delivery at the Dennis police station Sunday morning. At about 9:45 a.m., a driver — and soon-to-be-grandmother — pulled up in a vehicle with her pregnant daughter in the passenger seat. The soon-to-be-mother was having contractions.

The child wasn't going to wait, so Dennis police Officers Liz Tucker and Krista Wunderlich assisted the mother as she gave birth about 5 minutes after arriving.

Dennis firefighters arrived and transported the mother and child to the hospital; both were doing OK, police said.
